Locations[]

  • Ice Williams and Dr. Clifford "Cliff" Highball have such weapon as their optional gear in Jagged Alliance 2. Both mercs carry one gun this type with two standard .45 SMG magazines.
  • Area D11 - at least one Thompson M1A1 rests on a box inside a smaller building.
  • Random sectors/enemies. The weapon can be more commonly pick-pocketed from a living enemy than looted from a dead one.
  • It can spawn in the SAM Site near Drassen.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • The Thompson can be fed both from 0.45 pistol magazines and 0.45 SMG magazines, which come in AP and regular variety.
  • The gun is best used in burst mode from close distance.
  • The M1A1's main drawback is its high Action Points cost to fire. For those, who wish to use the weapon, it can be overcome with Spring & Bolt Upgrade, which will improve the weapon's rate of fire.
  • Just like most of submachineguns, Thompson loses on usefulness, when assault rifles become available in better numbers. Those SMGs are best sold to Tony in San Mona.

Seven variants of this submachinegun appear in Jagged Alliance: Online:

  • The Junk variant

  • The Uncommon variant
