Locations[]

  • Ice Williams and Dr. Clifford "Cliff" Highball have this weapon as their optional gear in Jagged Alliance 2, along with two standard .45 SMG magazines.
  • Area D11 - at least one Thompson M1A1 in a box inside a smaller building.
  • Random sectors/enemies. It can be more commonly pick-pocketed from a living enemy than looted from a dead one.
  • It can spawn in the SAM Site near Drassen.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • The Thompson can be fed both from 0.45 pistol magazines and 0.45 SMG magazines, which come in regular and AP varieties.
  • The gun is best used in burst mode from close distance.
  • The M1A1's main drawback is its high AP cost to fire. For those who wish to use the weapon, it can be overcome with Spring & Bolt Upgrade, which will improve the weapon's rate of fire.
  • Just like most submachineguns, Thompson loses its usefulness once assault rifles become available. Such SMGs are best sold to Tony in San Mona.
