Sector 3 is a sector in Metavira and lies near its north-western coastline.

Overview[]

This edge of the island is heavily forested with a building in the middle and a path all around. Signs say "Stay off the grass" for a good reason.

There are no Fallow Trees here.

Walkthrough[]

Your team should access it from the northern area of sector 13 and depending where you enter you might encounter an open space or hit the southern forest. A red-shirt may surprise you by a Tear Gas Grenade so be warned. When you kill him, he will drop one tear gas grenade. If you capture sector 2 before hand, you can access Sector 3 from it's western side but this route isn't always tried. There are loads of land mines scattered in the forested area and the coastline. While you should bring a metal detector, a wise move is to keep your merccs off the forested edges. If the red-shirts hide in the forested area, use your explosive expert and a merc to cautiously approach and kill them. Red-shirts will drop at least 3 keys, two keys and one padlock. One key opens the north-east door of the house, a second key opens the inner door of the building above the small open arena. The padlock key opens the outer door. By this time however, one of your mercs should have strong mechanical skills and be equipped with a Locksmith Kit. The southern door is locked at lock and lock strength 97 while the eastern door is locked at locked strength 62. Most inner doors are also locked. Enemies may be in the building and have an advantage so you have to move cautiously. If you wish to move your guards in, move then from Sector 13 not Sector 4 due the ocean. Sweep the mines as guards cannot tell where they are. Do so especially in the west as you need that area to attack Sector 2. With the many useful items here, do not have many in your assault vest before entering.

Center building[]

It is accessible from the front door on east side or from the south. The south door is padlocked and leads into an open space with two gas cans and another locked door to the north. Unlocking the next northern door it leads to a narrow vertical corridor with a toolbox to the left and crates at the top are boxes containing two clips of M-14 ammo, three clips of M-16 ammo, an M-16 and M-14 rifles and a silencer. Unlocking the side door in the south-western part leads to an open alleyway with two crates along the wall, they contain a tube of compound 17 and a chunk of steel. Further up the alleyway you'll find a padlocked door at lock strength 51 leading to a tiny room with a single crate containing rigged live plastic explosives.
