Sector 2 lies on the north-west coast of Metavira.

Overview[]

A walled off compound with lots of locked doors requiring a key or a good locksmith. The west side of the compound contains one bigger building and two smaller. The east side contains a garden. The approximately half of the sector is covered with water to the north side of the compound. There is also a lake in the center area.

Sector has four Fallow Trees.

Walkthrough[]

Players can enter the sector from the north of Sector 12 or from the west of Sector 3 although advanced players chose the latter way. If you enter via the latter path, take a Live plastic explosive with you and ensure you have a merc that knows how to lay it. Move your mercs away except the one with the live explosive and plant it on the lower wall on the north-eastern small vertical wall. Move that merc away to escape the explosive path. Once that wall is destroyed, move all your mercs and position them well and end the turn. If you're lucky, red-shirts will appear and your mercs will interrupt them and can pick them off.

Points of interest[]

South house[]

There are two locked doors, both facing west. The lower one can be unlocked with a key from one of the guards. Entering reveals a bedroom with another key on a nightstand. The rest of the house is empty, that includes the bathroom to the north.

West house[]

The front door is locked. Upon entering you'll find a padlock key in the shelves on the north wall, this key unlocks the store room in the big house. In a drawer next to the south bed you'll find a first aid kit.

Big house[]

There are four entrances, there doesn't seem to be a key to open them so you probably have to use lockpicking. Inside is a hallway with three panels. The south panel opens the south and east door as well as the north gate. The middle panel opens the door on the north side of the building. The north panel closes and locks all the doors, except the door on the north side.

Unlocking the door leading into the next room reveals a store room. On the north wall is a panel that locks the north entrance. There are three crates here and a box. The box is empty as well as the middle crate, but the other two contain a chunk of steel and a tube of compound 17. The final door is padlocked but the key can be found in one of the other houses. Inside is another store room with bunch of panels on the wall. The one in the north east corner closes and locks the south west entrance door. The panel on the west wall triggers a delayed explosion of the three doors leading outside to the east, triggering the panel gives you the detonator. The middle panel of the north wall is empty, not sure what the others do, the left one though seems to do something beneficial while the right one makes a "click". There are four crates and two boxes here. The boxes contains a two scopes, the crates contain two tubes of compound 17 and two M-16 rifles.

North east supply crates[]

At the north east part of the compound, north of the garden are seven crates stacked against the wall. They contain two mines, an explosive, plastic explosive and rigged live plastic.

South supply crates[]

At the south end of the garden you'll find four crates containing a rigged grenade and two tear gas grenades, one is rigged.
