A M79 or known as Grenade Launcher in Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games is a heavy weapon appearing in Jagged Alliance series.

Jagged Alliance 2[]
- Enemy patrols in random sectors, commonly between Grumm, Meduna, and Balime. Usually one soldier per patrol carries a M79 grenade launcher.
- Cambria, Sector F9. The one found there is in poor condition (below 30%).
- Alma, Sector H14. The weapon is in usable condition.
- Bobby Ray's Guns and Things (at least four settlements have to be liberated to make the M79 appear in the shop).
Tips & Tricks[]
- The M79s in any condition can be sold to Jake Cameron. Those in better condition (above 70%) are better sold either to Tony or Franz Hinkle. Keith Hemps will also buy them, but for less than Tony and Franz will.
- The 40mm grenades in Jagged Alliance 2 V.1.12 perform comparably to hand-thrown ones, which means both the M79 and the Underslung variant will have rather limited use. They are good against breaking enemy fortifications around and inside Meduna, which allows saving LAWs and Mortar rounds for tanks.
- Once the Underslung Grenade Launcher becomes available, the M79 becomes useless except when more than one grenadier per squad is needed.
