Use[]
Jagged Alliance 2[]
- As every sniper rifle, the M24 is best used by a mercenary with high Marksmanship skill (above 90, such as Sheila "Scope" Sterling) from a long distance.
- For obtaining maximum performance, it should have at least the Sniper Scope and Laser Scope added. A bipod will help in firing from prone position. Spring and Bolt upgrade will increase the rate of fire.

Trivia[]
Jagged Alliance 2 v.1.12[]
- Enemy soldiers found in random sectors late in the game often carry M24 rifles without scopes, which would indicate they use the M24s as battle rifles, despite their low rate of fire. The rifles are in 80%-90% condition and can have the sniper scopes attached.
- However, the M24 rifles found in military bases and settlements tend to nearly always have sniper scopes attached.
Jagged Alliance Online[]
- The in-game variants look more like M40 sniper rifles. Instead of using 7.62mm NATO ammunition, they are also fed with .338 Lapua Magnum rounds.
Tips & Tricks[]
Jagged Alliance 2[]
- The M24 fires 7.62mm NATO rounds, both armor-piercing (red tips) and hollow-point (blue tips) ones. It is fed from 5-bullet clips, although the standard 20-round magazines will also work. It's usually better to carry four 20-round magazines than six 5-round clips due to larger ammo capacity.
- The best way to exploit the M24's power is to attack enemies from a large distance and concealed positions. When fitted with attachments described above, the M24 excels at taking down guards at the entrances, building roofs, or similar areas that are difficult to reach.
- At least one M24 rifle with HP rounds will make clearing the Bloodcat Lair much easier. Depending on approach, there are chances the felines are caught in open area, so at least a few can be dispatched from the safe distance. Naturally, the sniper(s) require backup from mercs with assault rifles.
- The only part of the game, where the M24 is not realy useful, is clearning the Drassen mines from Crepitus infestation, since most of this quest takes place in subterranean area. Spaces with limited range make any sniper rifle pretty useless.
