- Sector 3 - one rifle and two amounts of proper ammunition.
Jagged Alliance 2 v. 1.12[]
- Alma sector H14 - one rifle this type with half-empty magazine is located in one of the crates inside the northern building.
- Grumm sector H3 - one of the mine guards has one rifle of this type. It can be pick-pocketed.
- Orta (sector K4) - randomly appears as weapon of one of the guards (for pick-pocketing.)
- Bobby Ray's Guns and Things - availability depends on game settings and progress in the game. It tends to become regularly available after five towns are liberated.
- Tony - randomly available in various conditions. He tends to have rifles in around 80% condition for sale.
- Enemies closer to Meduna and Grumm - depending on game settings, one enemy soldier/mercenary per sector should have such rifle. Usually it can be pick-pocketed rather than found on a corpse.
Tips and Tricks[]
Jagged Alliance V.1.12.[]
- The M-14 is the second best 7.62mm NATO rifle in the game, after the FN-FAL. It performs very well when handled by a merc with good Marksmanship skill. Two shots or one burst are usually enough to take down most enemies.
- When fitted with sniper scope, laser sight, and a bipod, it can replace the M-24 as a sniper rifle, especially if fitted with the gun barrel extender.
- The Hard to Repair con can be effectively bypassed by giving a damaged or worn out M-14 rifle to a merc with high Mechanical skill, such as Bobby "Steroid" Gontarski, Victoria "Vicki" Waters or Doug "Gasket" Milton. These mercs can restore the M-14 back to 100% condition within an hour of game time, provided that they are using a Tool Kit.
Notes[]
- The Jagged Alliance 3 version was apparently modeled after the M14A1 variant with its distinctive pistol grip separated from the stock.
