Strategy First announced in March 17, 2007, that they had made a deal with Union Entertainment to bring the hired mercenaries to the silver screen for the first time. Currently, Jagged Alliance: The Movie is the tentative title of the movie.
Emanuel Wall, Strategy First’s business development manager said: "Jagged Alliance is a great game franchise with dynamic characters and personalities that belong on the silver screen. This project is a brilliant take on the property and we anticipate a truly original picture coming out of this series."
The Union president Richard Leibowitz once commented: "Jagged Alliance is high on character and action, but with a dark humor that fans relish. It has a solid premise, and its character-driven game story makes it much better suited to film adaptation than many other game properties. Those elements are key to successful game-to-film translations."
Plot[]
According to Strategy First, the movie is going to be a spin-off from the Jagged Alliance series. There is going to be cutthroat relationships between the mercenaries, so they can never trust each other.
