Ira Smythe is a rebel girl from Omerta. She lives in the rebel hideout there with Dimitri, Miguel, Carlos and other rebels. She can be recruited for free after completing quest Letter from Enrico.
Ira's skills
Ira is a good medic at the start of the game, but she lacks Marksmanship. While Dimitri is a better shot than her, her high wisdom will let her catch up.
She is equiped with a .38 S&W Special , ammo , and a Med-Kit. You can hire her when you first get to rebel hideout with Fatima.
Ira's specialization is Teaching (Expert). Along with her high leadership she is a great militia trainer. She is alos a tolerable medic and can be a lifesaver. Her high wisdom lets her improve her skills very fast, so she will be a master teacher after a while.
She is also a guide providing information about Arulco. She has something to say about most cities and locations you visit.

Unless you have someone with high leadership in your squad, make sure you have her in your squad when you talk to Father Walker in Drassen. Father Walker will only talk with someone with high leadership and/or Ira, otherwise he won't talk and you can't finish the food quest.
Also make shure that you get her together with a hooker in San Mona.
