- Gus Tarballs can have one rifle of this type with four additional magazines as his optional combat gear.
- Commonly found on random enemies in various sectors.
- Tony often has at least one rifle this type for sale.
Tips & Tricks[]
- The G41 is the first assault rifle in 5.56mm NATO caliber, which can be found in the game regardless of the difficulty level.
- It's more reliable than FA-MAS (as it wears of slower from use) and should be used until decent amounts of C-7 or Steyr AUG are gathered. Rifles found later in the game can be sold to Tony and Franz Hinkle for decent sums of money or in exchange for better equipment.
- Because assault rifles are so rare in the early game, one tactic to get access to those firearms requires hiring Gus Tarballs for a single day and taking his rifle. The 5.56mm ammunition is abundant in Jagged Alliance 2, single magazines can be found as early as in Drassen and the nearby SAM site.
