The H&K21 is the heaviest light machine gun available in Jagged Alliance 2. Its hefty weight is compensated by its long range and high damage thanks to its 7.62mm NATO rounds. It is also available in Jagged Alliance 3

Combine an assault rifle with a machine gun and you get HK21. Unlike most hybrid guns, it performs each role extremely well.

- Compensator - +10% accuracy bonus for subsequent attacks against the same target (in addition to the usual 10% "same target" bonus).

- Thermal scope - no cover accuracy penalties when at 3+ Aim levels. Illuminates enemies when at 3+ Aim levels. No grazing hits when at 3+ Aim levels. No line of sight accuracy penalties when at 3+ Aim levels.

- Tactical grip - swapping to this weapon is free.
- Vertical grip - the accuracy bonus for the first Aim level is doubled.
Bipod[]
- Bipod - +20% accuracy bonus when prone.
Weapon abilities[]
- Set machine gun - focus on a cone-shaped area, immobilizing yourself and going prone. You can only shoot enemies inside that cone. Accuracy is increased and enemies will provoke interrupt attacks with actions inside the cone (even if your AP are spent). Max number of interrupt attacks is based on remaining AP.

Tips & Tricks[]
Jagged Alliance 2[]
- This LMG is best used by mercs with high Strength skill and Auto Weapons specialization.
- Any other merc using the H&K 21 should do so in prone position with a Bipod attached, so as to increase the chances of hitting the target.
- Once four or five weapons of this type are obtained, they can be used to train mercs' Strength using Time Compression tool.
- The H&K 21 benefits from Spring & Bolt Upgrade , which reduces the AP cost in both firing modes by 1.
