Marty "Kaboom" Moffat is a mercenary hirable from A.I.M.. He is available in Jagged Alliance, Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games. Nonplayable and deceased in Jagged Alliance 2.

Usefulness[]

Despite his stupidity, Kaboom is very fast, strong and very good with bombs. He forgets orders sometimes, but this only wastes an AP or two. He is a better shot than Skitz and isn't crazy, just stupid, so he's a better bet. Very cheap as well. Kaboom will almost always join your team no matter what happens. Only a high turnover rate will have him refuse.

  • Idiot savant. Has phenomenal manual dexterity and explosives expertise in spite of his bomb-induced brain damage.
  • One of the few mercs that start without a firearm. In Marty's case it is one half brilliant physical conditioning and poor aim making him more effective with a blade, and one half cannot be trusted to handle guns without adult supervision (as attested by Scully in Deadly Games).
  • Forgetful. Will forget what he was doing at the cost of AP.
  • Has the lowest wisdom score in the entire series.
  • More than slightly unhinged in general, likely due to severe cranial trauma from multiple explosions.
