Notes[]
- The FA-MAS will probably be the second assault rifle in 5.56mm NATO found in the game. It peforms comparably to H&K G41 save for shorter combat range and faster wearing off. The rifle is good only until greater stock of better 5,56mm assault rifles is collected.
- Amongst the firearms in Jagged Alliance 2, the FA-MAS is the assault rifle which wears off the quickest, as well as remains one of the most difficult to repair, on par with AK-74 and Steyr AUG. Only the H&K G11 causes more trouble in repairing.
- The in-game description is not fully accurate - while the FA-MAS indeed deals the same damage as M-16 (C-7), it has much shorter range at the cost of minimally increased rate of fire.
- The Jagged Alliance: Online versions of FA-MAS have ammo capacity 25 bullets, compared to 30 bullets in Jagged Alliance 2. In truth, the original FA-MAS rifle is normally fed with 25-bullet magazines while the G2 variant uses standard NATO 30-round magazines.
