The Ceramic Plates are armor component found in Jagged Alliance 2.
Description[]
These hard ceramic plates can be inserted into the front and back of most vests to provide extra protection by dispersing the impact from most standard ammunition loads. - Jagged Alliance 2.
Locations[]
- Jake Cameron and Franz Hinkle sometimes have those, usually in poor condition.
- Houses and buildings in habitated areas and military bases.
- Elite enemies sometimes drop suits of torso armor with ceramic plates inserted.
Use[]
The plates can be inserted to Flak Jackets, Leather & Kevlar Jackets, Kevlar Vests, Guardian Vests, and Spectra Vests regardless if those have been coated with Compound 18, Royal Jelly, or not. Once combined, they improve armor depending on their condition. One plate fts one vest pocket.
Notes[]
- Mint condition plates improve Armor value by 19%.
- The plates can't be repaired in Jagged Alliance 2. Once their condition drops to 0%, they simply break.
- One ceramic plate occupies one small inventory cell. Two plates like this fit a large inventory cell.
- When two plates in a condition below 50% are put in one slot by a merc with Repair skill at least 80%, they can be sometimes combined together to obtain a single item this type in a better condition. It does seem to be a glitch.
