The AK-74 is the only assault rifle in 5.45 mm caliber found in Jagged Alliance 2. It also appears in newer games with changed statistics.

- Can be bought randomly from traders.
- Can be bough through Bobby Ray's website.
- Lt. Conrad Gillitt carries one, thoguh it will be replaced with a H&K G41 if the Tons of Guns setting is not selected in the beginning. This only applies in version 1.12/unmodded game.
Notes[]
- This Kalashnikov rifle has longer range than its predecessor AKM at the cost of less damage caused to targets and wearing off faster. It is also more difficult to repair.
- The gun's image on tactical screen depicts it with foldable stock, despite the rifle seems to have a solid wooden stock.
