The 40mm grenade is an ammunition type introduced in Jagged Alliance 2. Those rounds are basically hand grenades equivalents, which require firing from grenade launchers instead of hurling.

Jagged Alliance 2[]
- "This fragmentation grenade when fired from the 40mm grenade launcher will ignite its encased TNT after a short delay."
- 40mm Tear Gas Grenade
- "This rubber-like round will disperse tear gas after a short delay. These projectiles are meant to be fired from the 40mm grenade launcher."
- 40mm Stun Grenade
- "When fired from the 40mm grenade launcher, these projectiles create a massive vacuum that will leave your enemies gasping for air."
- 40mm Smoke Grenade
- "Now they see you, now they don't. When properly employed, this 40mm smoke grenade will leave your opposition thinking they're dealing with Houdini himself."
Jagged Alliance 3[]
- 40 mm HE
- "Inflicts Bleeding in the epicenter"
- Base damage is 40. Area of effect is a 3-tile radius, penetration is heavy. 130% damage in the central tile of the explosion, very high damage to objects.
- 40 mm Flashbang
- "Reduces target Energy in the epicenter (once per battle), inflicts Suppressed, Less noisy"
- Area of effect is a 3-tile radius, deals a small ammount of damage (base damage is 5).

- In Jagged Alliance 3, almost any assault rifle can be quipped with a grenade launcher.
Locations[]
- Tony - offers all the types in varied condition
- SAM Site in Sector I8. Those are found in crates in the southernmost building.
- Alma Sector H13. Shelves in the northern part of the military compound.
- Alma Sector H14. Several grenades can be found in the northernmost building.
- In Jagged Alliance 3, the ammo can be crafted.
Tips & Tricks[]
- The grenades are best used to weaken groups of enemies. It is usually not worth to use a grenade against a single opponent.
